My husband and I purchased what we thought was our dream home for retirement ... only to discover serious mold issues during the initial inspection that had not been disclosed. We found Water Extraction Experts through a referral. Immediately Matt advised us about the next, best step to take--and we are so thankful he did. He recommended further mold testing by a professional mold hygienist. Had we not done that, we never would have discovered that the mold damage was far more extensive than first thought. This, of course, felt like a crisis. We had sold our home and needed to move. Matt was calm and understanding throughout this bad time. He rescheduled his crews to accommodate our move-in dates. The workers were amazing to watch as they tented the damaged areas and commenced with demolition, patiently explaining each step they were taking and ensuring that the house and people in it were adequately protected. Mold is a sneaky enemy--we lost walls, ceilings, cabinetry--but Matt and his team explained each step, each finding, and what would occur next. Plumbers and painters were scheduled in sync with demo so that the procedure flowed seamlessly...and we moved in on time. Needless to say, this was a very difficult time for our family--financially and emotionally--but the moment we walked into our home to spend the first night, tired and bedraggled from a moving day, the house exuded a new energy. It was clean, safe, warm, and nurturing. We almost cried in relief. You could never tell that our lovely home had been torn apart, that's how good the restoration process was. In conclusion, Matt and Water Extraction Experts and their recommended partners (plumbing and hygienist) are simply amazing in their communication, in their expertise, in their organizational skills. Very grateful for the Water Extraction Experts. They made the nightmare of finding mold in our home not feel as scary. They were very professional and prompt. They quickly got us on the schedule and took care of the mold in our home and handled the repairs. Excellent communication during the whole process.
