Up to 50% of the air in your house can stream in from your crawl space. Moisture in the crawl space can cause air quality issues and odors. Adding a crawl space vapor barrier can increase indoor air quality and keep your home warmer in the winter.
Water Extraction Experts encapsulate a crawl space by sealing it with a water vapor barrier (usually a heavy-duty polyethylene barrier) to effectively contain any moisture seeping in from the floor and foundation walls.

Our Process for Encapsulating
your Crawl Space
- Call us for an inspection. We’ll assess your crawl space and make sure it’s ready for encapsulation.
- Prior to encapsulation will address any excess moisture issues, take measurements and make sure the area is ready for placement of the water vapor barrier.
- Our certified technicians will begin placing the water vapor barrier. We’ll cut the water vapor barrier to the specific measurements of your crawl space to ensure adequate overlap and no gaps are present.
- If your crawl space needs further humidity control, we may recommend the placement of a dehumidifier.
